Chilly Sunshine after a Storm

( Our grape vines and Moni's Kwanzan Cherry Tree!  Gorgeous, huh! )

Just as we figured - UPS delivered our grape vines and Moni’s Kwanzan Cherry tree yesterday - in the middle of the storm - the day before Hubby goes back to work.

But it’s gorgeous this morning!  The ground needs to dry a little before I can plant the grape vines.  And it’ll be after noon before I can go on my walk around the trail with the pups.

Apparently - someone from Crossville has bought the house in front of us - which was once owned by the original tobacco farmer that lived here.  The individual - *cough* - that Danny sold the house to - just - dropped the ball and walked away.  The lender never even bothered to contact us to see if we’d be interested in taking it over.

Instead - we find out about the news through a couple of guys that showed up to drop off a load of building materials - in the middle of the storm - while nobody else was there.  They showed up at our place - because none of the four houses - ( I keep forgetting to get that done ) - up here on our hill have their prospective addresses displayed.

Not sure it would be worth the struggle and hassle to shoot for the moon on that one - anyway.  The guy that bought it from Danny let the place go to ruin - which just angers me inside to no end.  There was a lot of blood - sweat and tears that went into this tobacco farm.  Nothing makes me more angry than to see those that get to have it all just handed to them - never take the time to find people with proper intentions - when it comes to selling it off to somebody else.  The inconsideration and disrespect are downright shameful.

Managed to get a scrapbook page completed.  It will be interesting to see how much growth this little peach tree puts on during this growing season.

Uh-oh.... somebody at my door.  Not sure if it's the new owner of the place down the hill - or - just a confused builder.

Gotta go!  Don't worry.  Locked and Loaded!

Hmmmm Peaches...I'd LOVE to have a peach tree or two! LOL Beautiful page. :)

Have fun with those grapes...someday, if we ever get fences done around here (read never, as I don't think we will EVER be done with them) we may try some grapes or at least raspberry bushes. Maybe then, DH could spend a little more time taking care of that kinda thing, and they would live. Or maybe not. LOL
