Grapes and - Lucy!

A crucifixion? Hmmm…. Enough crosses. But - no.

Last year - we ordered our Pink Lady Apple tree from Nature Hills Nursery - and our Thornless Navaho ( that's how they have it spelled at Park... ) Blackberry bushes from Park Seed. Both took forever to get here.

This year - we ordered a Granny Smith Apple tree and our Kay Gray Grape vines. The plum tree we wanted to order was already sold out. So - we’ll try again - next year.

With the weather being so great this weekend - we wasted no time. Yesterday was a trip to Home Depot. And today - my Hubby - my Hero got busy constructing the arbor for the grapes!

All that’s left to be done is running three vertical rows of wire. Two horizontal rows of wire will go over the tops. Eye bolts will be set into the ends of the horizontal 4x4’s for wire to be ran from pole to pole and secured for added stability.

What's most important is - we're ready before they get here!
