The Beautimus Downside of Spring
We went fishing yesterday. Once again - it’s about as lucky as I’m gonna get when it comes to being able to take some kind of a break - or - vacation - period.
The wild Dogwoods and Redbuds are in full bloom. The water isn’t as high as it will be - soon.
Some areas looked really pretty.
This spot could tempt me into stepping up and hiking in to see what lies beyond what gives me the impression of a natural entrance.
And then - we reach this spot. See the haze? You should have seen the cloud that erupted when my lure banged against a pine tree branch.
This is not trash - or - muck that you find in a neglected pond. This would be - pollen.
And it is - everywhere. This is what we get after washing the truck two days before - and - after using the windshield washer fluid.
I caught only one fish - a Black Crappie. But - it was the biggest! And - no picture. Go figure.
And now I'm behind on everything at home.

Beautiful photos!! I miss seeing lots of redbuds in the spring, there were way more of them in Missouri where I grew up than we have here. I bought one and planted it outside my office window cause I love them so much. :)
